"2017-2018"

.tif's /autoplay mixtape/ series AUTOPLAYをオンにする paints a surreal image of our internet landscape, abusing the fullest potential of the classic vaporwave genre to depict the absurdity of the New Frontier of the Digital Domain. This is evident in their samples of both earnest, more obscure songs such as "It's Over Now" by the Beach Boys and the theme song to Kimba the White Lion, as well as in sampling songs which are most well known from memes such as "Take on Me" by A-Ha and "that one trance song that played in every single YouTube tutorial video in 2008". Whether you're a fan of classic vaporwave, glitch music, or just nuwrld-style dream music in general, AUTOPLAYをオンにする is a wonderfully strange bundle of tunes to listen to and let get stuck in your head for the eternity that is the internet's grand lobby.
